New Delhi: England seems to be faltering in the ongoing third Test at Nottingham. While the Indian team is fighting for a win, Shikhar Dhawan has unfortunately entered the record books for the wrong reason. He is now just the third Indian batsman to be stumped in a Test match on English soil, ending a drought of nearly 66 years for such a dismissal.

This awkward exit follows the footsteps of Pankaj Roy, who was stumped in Leeds back in 1952, and Mushtaq Ali, who was dismissed similarly at the Oval in 1936. In his second innings appearance, Dhawan scored 44 runs from 63 balls, hitting four boundaries. His innings ended abruptly when he misjudged a ball from Rashid, giving Bairstow the perfect opportunity to effect the stumping.
Overall, India has dominated the third Test so far. They posted a solid 329 in the first innings and dismantled England for 161, thanks to a five-wicket haul by Hardik Pandya. Regarding India's track record in Nottingham, they have played six Tests here since their debut in 1959, resulting in one win, two losses, and three draws.
