Ravi Shastri is arguably one of the finest commentators in the world. From calling Sachin's 200 against South Africa to the 2011 World Cup final, he has consistently provided the Indian audience with unforgettable commentary. His most recent viral moment came after India's historic triumph against the Australians at the Adelaide Oval.
The incident went like this, Sunil Gavaskar (Who was studio at the time) asked Ravi Shastri about the environment in the dressing room during the last wicket partnership. Shastri replied like this: “bilkul chhorenge nahi’ lekin thori der k liye waha par g*** muh me tha”. Since then the coach has come under some firing from the Indian people on twitter.

While it's easy to sympathize with the stress of a match where the odds are against you, swearing on a national platform is a major faux pas. The coach was obviously riding a high from the unexpected victory at the start of the series, particularly after a tense Day 4. This isn't the first time Shastri has found himself in hot water for his words. During a tour of England, he claimed his squad was the best touring side India had produced in 15 years, which immediately made him a target for trolls and a wave of mocking memes. Critics even dug into his personal life and playing days to paint him as a playboy, with some jokingly suggesting he should keep his drinks out of the dressing room until nighttime. In the same interview, he gave some lighthearted answers, suggesting his bowlers could skip net practice to relax since he was so satisfied with their form. As the next Test approaches this Friday, India is expected to stick with the same eleven. While the betting odds currently favor them, they'll need to avoid overconfidence to beat a resilient Australian team.
This is not the first time, Shastri tongue has landed in a spot. During the England tour, he commented on his team “This is the best touring Indian side in the past 15 years”. Once again the trolls had him, there were tons of mean and embarrassing meme on the charismatic coach. With people digging deep in his past and revealing his playboy demeanor from his playing career. Some people have gone lengths to say that the Indian coach should stop drinking in the dressing room or wait until night.
He also gave some funny answers during the same interview where he said that his bowlers can skip net practice and enjoy the rest of the day. He doesn’t care about the practice. One thing was clear, he was very happy with his player’s performance. With the next test match starting soon on Friday, expected an unchanged eleven from India and they would surely have a cool environment in the dressing room. Although they are the favorite as indicated by cricketing betting odds but overconfidence can kill them against this fighting Australian side.
