India's squad for the West Indies ODI series will be unveiled on November 21

The national selection committee (NSC) is meeting in Mumbai this Thursday to pick the limited-overs teams for the home series against the West Indies, with a focus on the roles of vice-captain Rohit Sharma and the currently out-of-form Dhawan.
Vice-captain Rohit Sharma and opener Dhawan who is in poor form are expected to lead the planning when the national selection committee (NSC) meets on Thursday in Mumbai to decide on India’s limited-overs squads for the home series against the West Indies.

Since MSK Prasad and central zone selector Gagan Khoda have completed their four-year terms, this meeting will likely be Prasad's last in charge. Consequently, the committee may grant Rohit Sharma a much-needed rest during the three-match ODI series against the Caribbean side to ensure he is fresh for next year's tour of New Zealand, which includes two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is.

India's itinerary against the West Indies begins with three T20s: the first in Mumbai on December 6, the second in Thiruvananthapuram on December 8, and the final one in Hyderabad on December 11. This will be followed by three ODIs held in Chennai (Dec 15), Visakhapatnam (Dec 18), and Cuttack (Dec 22).

Rohit Sharma has carried a heavy load this year, playing 25 ODIs and 11 T20Is—exceeding the appearances of captain Virat Kohli, who took two breaks this season. Given this workload, it seems highly probable that Sharma will be rested in at least two of the formats.
