Thanks to a combined effort from the bowlers and another standout performance from Lizelle Lee—her third half-century in four T20Is—South Africa women won the five-match series 3-2 against Pakistan in Benoni. After restricting Pakistan to 125/5, the hosts cruised to victory behind an unbeaten 100-run partnership between Lee and 19-year-old Klerk.
Pakistan finished on 125/5, despite managing to squeeze 19 runs out of the final two overs. South Africa's pursuit looked straightforward from the start, especially as Lee took control early by hitting Riaz for two boundaries in the second over. Although Nida Dar dismissed Brits early in the innings, Lee continued to dominate, hitting a 40-ball fifty and later ripping three straight fours off Riaz in the 15th over. She put the finishing touches on the win by smashing a six off Dar when five runs were needed. Supporting her was de Klerk, whose 37 runs helped build an unbroken century stand at a rapid pace of nearly nine runs per over.
While Lee took home the Player of the Match award, Nida Dar was named Player of the Series for her all-around contribution of 192 runs and five wickets. Lee ended the series as the leading run-scorer, edging out Dar by a single run. Dar also led the bowling charts with five wickets, a tally matched by both Ismail and Moseline Daniels.
