A dominant showing by the Delhi Capitals' bowlers allowed them to sneak past the Gujarat Titans with a slim 5-run win.

The Delhi Capitals showed immense spirit on Tuesday, clinching a thrilling low-scoring win by 5 runs against the top-of-the-table Gujarat Titans. Gujarat's pursuit of 131 was spearheaded by Hardik Pandya, who remained unbeaten on 59, supported by a brief 20-run burst from Rahul Tewatia. It all came down to the final over, where GT needed 12 runs to win, but Ishant Sharma's clinical bowling ensured DC walked away with the victory in Ahmedabad.
Spirited Delhi Capitals (DC) produced a terrific bowling performance to beat table-toppers Gujarat Titans (GT) by 5 runs in a low-scoring nail-biter on Tuesday. Chasing a gritty 131, GT skipper Hardik Pandya led from the front with an unbeaten knock of 59 while Rahul Tewatia played a cameo of 20. With GT needing 12 runs to win in the final over, DC pacer Ishant Sharma kept his calm and bowled brilliantly to seal the win in Ahmedabad.

Things started poorly for DC after David Warner chose to bat first; Mohammed Shami immediately struck, dismissing Phil Salt for zero. The pressure mounted when Rashid Khan pulled off a sharp run-out to remove Warner for 2. Shami then kept the attack aggressive, taking the wicket of Rilee Rossouw (8) before tearing through the middle order by claiming Manish Pandey (1) and Priyam Garg (10) in the same over.

DC managed to fight back as Axar Patel and Aman Hakim Khan put together a stabilizing partnership of 50 runs. This recovery was interrupted in the 14th over when Mohit Sharma got rid of Patel for 27. However, thanks to Hakim Khan's determined half-century (51) and a quick 23 from Ripal Patel, Delhi managed to set a target of 130/8.

Gujarat's response started disastrously; Khaleel Ahmed took a wicket in his first over, dismissing Wriddhiman Saha for nothing. The slide continued as Anrich Nortje removed the dangerous Shubman Gill for 6, and the pressure intensified as Ishant Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav quickly eliminated Vijay Shankar (6) and David Miller (0).

Hardik Pandya and Abhinav Manohar tried to rebuild with a solid 62-run partnership, but the stand ended when Ahmed dismissed Manohar for 26. Rahul Tewatia briefly swung the game back in Gujarat's favor by smashing three sixes in a row during the second-to-last over, but Ishant Sharma remained unfazed to secure the win for DC.
