Initially, Delhi won the toss and scored 164 runs for 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In response, the Punjab team scored 167 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 19 overs. On the other side, Delhi's Shikhar Dhawan was in絶好調, scoring his second consecutive century with an unbeaten 106 off 61 balls, featuring 12 fours and 3 sixes. However, the middle order faltered, with both Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant falling for 14 each.
