The Gujarat Titans pulled off a stunning victory against the Mumbai Indians in a match that was decided in the final over.

The Gujarat Titans managed to hold their nerve on Sunday night, defeating the Mumbai Indians by just 6 runs in a tense finale. Mumbai's chase of 169 was kept alive by the efforts of Rohit Sharma and Dewald Brevis, who scored 43 and 46 respectively. The tension peaked in the final over with 19 runs required; Hardik Pandya hit a boundary and a six immediately, but the momentum shifted when Umesh Yadav clean-bowled him with a sharp bouncer. Yadav's composure in those final deliveries ensured GT walked away with a hard-fought win.
Gujarat Titans’ (GT) bowlers produced a remarkable comeback to beat Mumbai Indians (MI) by 6 runs in a final-over thriller on Sunday night. Chasing 169, MI’s former skipper Rohit Sharma and impact player Dewald Brevis played brilliant knocks of 43 and 46 respectively to keep their side in the hunt. Needing 19 runs in the final over, MI skipper Hardik Pandya smashed a six and a four off the first two deliveries but Umesh Yadav bowled a well-directed bouncer to get rid of Pandya (11) and successfully defended 19 runs to hand GT a memorable win.

Opening the batting for GT, Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill got things moving with 31 runs in their first four overs before Jasprit Bumrah produced a clinical yorker to dismiss Saha for 19. Shubman Gill then teamed up with Sai Sudharsan for a 33-run stand to keep the momentum going, but the partnership was broken in the 8th over when Rohit Sharma took a brilliant catch on the boundary to send Gill back for 31.

While Azmatullah Omarzai and David Miller struggled to make an impact, scoring 17 and 12 respectively, Sai Sudharsan kept the innings afloat with a composed 45 off 39 balls. A quick-fire 22 from Rahul Tewatia in just 15 balls helped the Titans reach a total of 168/6. For Mumbai, Jasprit Bumrah was the standout bowler with three wickets, supported by Gerald Coetzee, who claimed two.

Mumbai's pursuit of the target started poorly when Omarzai took the wicket of Ishan Kishan for a duck in the opening over. Naman Dhir tried to counter-attack with a flurry of boundaries and a six, but he was dismissed by Omarzai in that same over for 20. The game shifted in MI's favor thanks to a dominant 77-run stand between Rohit and Brevis. The breakthrough finally came when Sai Kishore trapped Rohit LBW. From that point on, the GT bowlers tightened their grip, taking consistent wickets to secure a win in front of their home supporters.
