Hesson claims that a score of 150 to 160 is a competitive and potentially winning total in the UAE.

According to RCB's Director of Cricket, Mike Hesson, hitting between 150 and 160 runs can put a team in a winning position in the UAE. He also expects spinners to be highly influential in the next IPL. This 13th season will be held in the UAE from September 19 through November 10, utilizing stadiums in Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi.

Speaking in a video shared via RCB's Twitter, Hesson pointed out that spin bowlers will be vital on certain pitches, specifically noting that the Abu Dhabi venue often favors them.

Hesson believes they have plenty of data on the pitches, but he insists that the players must remain flexible to handle match-day variables. He also noted that the team reviewed their past performances to ensure they addressed key weaknesses in the squad during the player auction.

Since the league began, RCB has yet to win a championship. They came close on three separate occasions—reaching the finals in 2009, 2011, and 2016—but were unable to clinch the title.

The IPL 2020 season kicks off on September 19 in Abu Dhabi with a high-stakes clash between the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. For their part, RCB will start their campaign on September 21 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
