Ind vs Ban 1st Test Day 1: Mayank and Cheteshwar Lead the Charge

India's batting started with a setback as Abu Sayed dismissed Rohit Sharma for 6. However, Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara stepped up to lead the innings. Bangladesh's fielding was just as inconsistent as India's, with several missed chances. Agarwal and Pujara played with immense patience, defending their wickets skillfully and putting India in a strong position through a cohesive partnership.

Both Cheteshwar Pujara (43) and Mayank Agarwal (37) appeared virtually unplayable during their stint. By the close of the session, Abu Sayed was the only Bangladeshi bowler to have taken a wicket. India ended the first day standing at 86/1.

Despite the Indore pitch offering a fair surface, Bangladesh couldn't make the most of it, failing to put any real pressure on India while playing away from home.

The second day will be critical for Bangladesh if they hope to stay competitive, especially with India boasting a deep lineup of five specialist batsmen.
