The pressure mounted in the following over as Arshdeep Singh dismissed Quinton de Kock for just 1, then left the visitors stunned by removing Rilee Rossouw and David Miller for ducks in back-to-back deliveries.
With Tristan Stubbs also falling to Chahar, the Proteas were in deep trouble at 9/5. Aiden Markram offered some fight with 25 runs, and Wayne Parnell added 24, but Keshav Maharaj was the standout, scoring a crucial 41 to help his team reach 106/8 by the end of their 20 overs.
