Royal Challengers Bengaluru picked up their second win of the season with a 35-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad

RCB secured only their second win of the season by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 35 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, powered by a collective bowling effort from Swapnil Singh, Karn Sharma, and Cameron Green. Each of these bowlers took two wickets to limit SRH to 171/8. Despite the result, RCB is still languishing in 10th place in the standings. While a target of 207 usually looks achievable for an SRH side that has surpassed 250 runs three times this season, their batters simply couldn't deliver when it mattered most.
A fine bowling effort from impact player Swapnil Singh, Karn Sharma, and Cameron Green helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to register only second win of the season, beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 35 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. All three bowlers picked up two wickets each to restrict SRH to 171/8. Despite the win, however, RCB still sits 10th in the points table. For a team that has breached the 250-run mark thrice this season, the target of 207 was very gettable but the in-form SRH batters failed to deliver on this occasion.

Opening the innings, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis gave RCB a flying start with a 48-run partnership. That stand ended when T. Natarajan got the better of Du Plessis (25) early in his spell. Soon after, Mayank Markande deceived Will Jacks with a brilliant slower ball that crashed into the stumps for 6. But RCB didn't slow down; Kohli and Rajat Patidar added another 65 runs in just 33 balls, with Patidar playing a blistering knock that included four sixes in one over against Markande.

Patidar celebrated his half-century in style, but his innings ended abruptly when Jaydev Unadkat trapped him with a low full toss. Unadkat stayed dangerous, dismissing the Orange Cap leader, Virat Kohli, for 51 in his next over. A solid 37-run contribution from Cameron Green eventually pushed RCB to a formidable total of 206/7 after 20 overs.

In an unexpected move, Will Jacks opened the bowling for RCB and made an immediate impact by removing the dangerous Travis Head for just 1. Abhishek Sharma tried to keep the scoreboard moving with some aggressive hitting, but he was eventually caught by Dinesh Karthik off the bowling of Yash Dayal for 31. The momentum shifted heavily toward RCB when Swapnil Singh tore through the middle order, dismissing both Aiden Markram (7) and the powerful Heinrich Klaasen (7) in his very first over. While Pat Cummins contributed a quick 31 and Shahbaz Ahmed played a steady anchoring role with 40 off 37 balls, their efforts weren't enough to close the gap.
