Joe Gomez has committed his future to Liverpool, signing a contract extension that ties him to Anfield until 2024. Since his £3.5 million move from Charlton in 2015, Gomez has featured 59 times for the Reds and represented England on six occasions. In an interview with the club's website, Gomez described the new deal as a significant milestone, reflecting on his journey and the privilege of wearing the Liverpool shirt. He emphasized his love for the club and his happiness at knowing he will remain part of the project for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, the 21-year-old is currently facing a six-week layoff after suffering a leg fracture during Liverpool's 3-1 victory over Burnley last Wednesday. This isn't his first struggle with fitness; since arriving as an 18-year-old, he has battled several setbacks, including a serious knee injury in October 2015 that kept him out of the Premier League. Further injuries also cost him international duties and a spot in the Champions League final. Reflecting on his first four seasons, Gomez admitted there have been highs and lows, noting that while the setbacks were frustrating, they have become a part of his growth and learning process as a player.

अक्टूबर 2015 में, जो गोमेज़ ने एक गंभीर घुटने की चोट का सामना किया था, जिसके चलते जो गोमेज़, लिवरपूल की ओर से प्रीमियर लीग में जो को बाहर करना पड़ा था। और इस वर्ष एडी की चोट के चलते जो गोमेज़ अपनी इंग्लैंड की ड्यूटी भी नहीं निभा पाए थे और इस चोट की वजह से ही जो गोमेज़, लिवरपूल के चैम्पियनस लीग फ़ाइनल से बाहर रहे थे।
जो गोमेज़ ने कहा, मेने अभी तक चार सीज़न मे यहां खेला है, बहुत से उतार चढ़ाव भी रहे लेकिन हर सीज़न मेरे लिए अलग था। हाँ, मैं चाहता था कि इतनी नाकामयाबीया नहीं मिलनी चाहिए थी लेकिन जब आप खेलते हैं तो नाकामयाबी आपकी राह में आती ही हैं और वो आपकी कहानी का एक हिस्सा बन जाती हैं, लेकिन मेने बहुत सीखा।
