Pro Kabaddi League: UP Yoddha drop another game after a lackluster showing from Pardeep Narwal

In Bengaluru, the Pro Kabaddi League saw a showdown between two teams in peak form: UP Yoddha and Puneri Paltan. While many expected UP Yoddha to dominate the game and move up to second in the points table, they failed to meet those expectations. Both their defense and raiders struggled, resulting in a loss for the Yoddha.
Pro Kabbadi League action continued in Bengaluru with a battle between two in-form teams, UP Yoddha and Puneri Paltan. Many experts and fans expected UP Yoddha to win the game and rise to the second spot on the points table. However, UP Yoddha raiders and defenders failed to deliver up to the expectation. Finally, Yoddha ended on a losing note.

Puneri Paltan's victory was powered by the young talent Aslam Inamdar, who earned a Super 10 by collecting 12 points through four bonuses and three tackles. Mohit Goyat complemented this effort with 14 points across 13 raids, and Abhinesh Nadarajan almost reached a High 5. In the end, the Paltans secured a 44-38 win over UP Yoddha.

Despite featuring the record-breaking Pardeep Narwal in their starting seven, UP Yoddha couldn't secure the win. Narwal, typically a master of clever raids, struggled to make an impact and finished with just six points. Even though Surender Gill was the top scorer of the match with 16 points, his hard work wasn't enough to flip the result in UP Yoddha's favor.

The Paltans came out swinging, securing the first all-out in under eight minutes. At one point, they held a commanding 10-point lead (15-5), but the Yoddha raiders fought back tenaciously to close the gap, even managing an all-out against Pune in the 19th minute. By halftime, the Paltans held a slim lead of 21-18.

Expectations were high that Pardeep Narwal and his teammates would take control in the second half. However, they hit a wall in the form of the Paltans' defense, which remained rock-solid and shut down the Yoddha's raiding attempts. This defensive dominance led to another all-out for Pune, stretching their lead to 11 points and making the score 31-20 by the 27th minute.

UP Yoddha spent the final 13 minutes fighting to get back into the game, but they couldn't find the breakthrough needed to win. They managed to claw back a single point, narrowing the deficit to just under eight points by the final whistle.

Looking ahead, the Patna Pirates are set to face the Tamil Thalaivas. The Pirates enter the match with a decent run, winning three of their last five games and holding a total record of seven wins from 11 matches. Meanwhile, the Tamil Thalaivas have had a more inconsistent campaign with three wins, three losses, and six draws in 12 games, currently sitting in tenth place with 34 points.
