The AHF successfully met its goals and received a great response after completing its online workshops for umpires, technical officials, and national hockey coaches. Because of this success, they have decided to keep the momentum going with more sessions in October.
Three additional AHF online workshops are scheduled for this month, with expected attendance ranging from 15 to 30 coaches and umpires per session.
The goal of these workshops is to equip coaches and umpires with essential technical skills and a deeper knowledge of the game, focusing on specifics like free hits and set plays. These sessions are free for all participants and are conducted through Microsoft Teams, usually running for about three to four hours each.
Gyanendro Ningombam, the Officiating President of Hockey India, remarked that the AHF's online training has been a key driver in improving the quality and professional development of India's technical officials and coaches.
He expressed confidence that this expanded knowledge base would lead to outstanding results in the coming months. Additionally, he mentioned that collaborating with the AHF has been a privilege and thanked them for their significant role in advancing hockey across India.
Dato Tayyab Ikram, the Chief Executive of AHF and Chairman of the FIH Development and Education Committee, also spoke about the positive feedback they've received. He emphasized that the AHF remains dedicated to supporting the growth of Indian officials and coaches through the October workshops.
Dato noted that the response from previous participants has been fantastic, with candidates showing great enthusiasm and benefiting from the high-level technical guidance. Furthermore, the AHF is extending these online workshops to all nations competing in the October Asian Games. Those who complete the training will earn a participation certificate, which will serve as a valuable asset when applying for future AHF and FIH courses.
Apart from this, the AHF has also decided to organize online education workshops for all nations that would take part in Asian Games in October.
Participating candidates will receive a participation certificate at the end of the AHF online education workshops. This will help the candidates in the future FIH & AHF course selection.
