The Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships 2023 scheduled to be held in Dubai, will be played from February 14 to 19 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre. Seventeen countries from Asia will be participating in the third edition of the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships. All teams are getting ready to fight the battle strong and claim the continental honor title. The teams are divided into four groups and the teams grabbing the top two spots in each Group will be making it to the quarterfinals. Each tie will feature five matches, two singles and three doubles match.

The tournament debuted in 2017 with Japan as the first champion, while China holds the current title after winning in 2019. While the 2021 event was cancelled because of Covid-19, India is now looking to make its mark and win its first title thanks to a very strong roster. India's path in this third edition starts in Group B, where they face off against Kazakhstan, the UAE, and Malaysia (the CWG gold medalists). The Indian schedule begins on February 14 against Kazakhstan, followed by clashes with the UAE and Malaysia on February 15 and 16, respectively.

Leading the Indian charge is two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu, who will anchor the women's singles as the world number 7. She is supported by Aakarshi Kashyap (world no. 32), who recently triumphed at the Bangladesh International Challenge and reached the 2022 CWG quarterfinals. The women's doubles will be handled by the 2022 CWG bronze medalists Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly, while the mixed doubles slot is filled by Ishaan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Castro.

In the men's singles, the Indian challenge is headed by Thomas Cup heroes HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen; the 21-year-old Sen is coming off a stellar 2022, including a gold at the Commonwealth Games. While French Open winners Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty were expected to dominate the men's doubles, Rankireddy had to withdraw due to a hip injury. Consequently, Chirag will now team up with Dhruv Kapila, with Krishna Prasad Garga and Vishnuvardhan Goud serving as the second doubles pair.

India's previous attempts at the tournament have been tough; they were eliminated in the quarterfinals during the 2017 debut and failed to even exit the group stage in the most recent edition.
