India is scheduled to visit Bangladesh in November 2026, ending a long six-year gap between tours.

There was once a period when the Indian squad regularly toured Bangladesh. Specifically, during the ICC FTP window between 2013 and 2018, India visited twice—in 2014 and 2015—but no such tours have taken place in the years following.
There was a time when Team India would travel to Bangladesh for a series once in a while. As a matter of fact, during the previous six-year cycle of ICC FTP which lasted between 2013 and 2018, India toured Bangladesh twice in 2014 and 2015, but later there haven’t been any tours between the two countries.

Information surfaced via the Bangladesh Cricket Board's recent media rights deals that India will tour their neighbors in November 2022. The series is reportedly set to include three ODIs and two Tests. For comparison, the 2015 tour was smaller, consisting of just three ODIs and one Test. In the intervening years, the competitive action has shifted, with Bangladesh touring India twice.

The Bangladesh team traveled to India for a single Test match in 2017. They returned in 2019 for a more extensive series comprising three T20Is and two Tests. Those two Test matches, held in Kolkata and Indore, were crucial fixtures in the ICC World Test Championship for the 2019-21 cycle.

Ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup, England is set to play both an ODI and a T20I series in Bangladesh. Additionally, several other nations, including the West Indies, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and New Zealand, are scheduled to visit Bangladesh through January 2023.

During India's last visit to Bangladesh, the 'Men in Blue' suffered a defeat in the ODI series. Since that setback, however, India has been nearly dominant, winning almost every bilateral ODI series they've entered.
