CSK's bowlers showed great mental toughness to secure a win against RCB in a thrilling, high-scoring match.

RCB's chase of 227 seemed promising, fueled by strong performances from Glenn Maxwell (76) and Faf du Plessis (62). However, CSK consistently chipped away at the batting lineup to keep the game within reach. It came down to a tense final over needing 19 runs; although Suyash Prabhudessai managed a six, Matheesha Pathirana's composure in the closing three balls ensured CSK walked away with the win.

Chasing a huge target of 227, Glenn Maxwell and skipper Faf du Plessis played terrific knocks of 76 and 62 respectively to raise the hopes of an RCB victory. But CSK bowlers took regular wickets to turn the tides. Needing 19 runs in the final over, Suyash Prabhudessai hit a six in the third ball, however, Matheesha Pathirana successfully defended 11 runs in three balls to secure a thrilling win for CSK.

Starting their innings, CSK suffered an early blow losing Ruturaj Gaikwad for 3, but the duo of Devon Conway and Ajinkya Rahane recovered well, putting on 90 runs before Hasaranga dismissed Rahane for 37. Following that, Conway and Shivam Dube dominated the RCB bowlers, playing an aggressive brand of cricket to pile up 80 runs in a rapid-fire 33-ball stand.

The partnership was finally broken in the 16th over when Harshal Patel bowled out the top-scorer, Devon Conway, who finished with a brilliant 83. Shivam Dube then accelerated with a series of huge sixes to hit his half-century before Mohammed Siraj claimed a sharp catch to end his innings. A quick 19-run contribution from Moeen Ali helped push CSK to a massive total of 226/6 by the end of their 20 overs.

During the chase, RCB suffered an early setback when Virat Kohli was dismissed unluckily, and Mahipal Lomror fell for a duck to Tushar Deshpande. The game swung back in RCB's favor as Du Plessis and Maxwell put together a rapid 126-run stand for the third wicket. However, Maheesh Theekshana provided the breakthrough by removing Maxwell, and Moeen Ali followed up quickly by dismissing Du Plessis. Despite late efforts from Dinesh Karthik (28) and Prabhudessai (19), RCB couldn't close the gap.
