India delivers a clinical performance to beat South Africa by 7 wickets and take the series 2-1

India clinched the series 2-1 after a decisive 7-wicket victory over South Africa this Tuesday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The Men in Blue showed absolute dominance across all departments, securing their fifth straight series win. The match ended with an effortless chase of a meager 100-run target, highlighted by Shubman Gill's strong 49 and Shreyas Iyer's unbeaten 28.

Choosing to field first, India's bowlers completely overwhelmed South Africa, never letting them settle into the game. The breakthrough came early via Washington Sundar, who dismissed Quinton de Kock for 6, while Mohammed Siraj maintained the pressure by taking out Janneman Malan (15) and Reeza Hendricks (3) in consecutive overs.

The collapse continued as Aiden Markram fell for a mere 9, and Washington Sundar dismissed the acting captain, David Miller, for 7. Although Heinrich Klaasen tried to salvage the innings with 34 runs, he was eventually beaten by Shahbaz Ahmed. To finish the job, Kuldeep Yadav quickly cleaned up the remaining tailenders.

The combined effort of India's spinners left South Africa with their lowest ODI total in history against India and one of their worst ever in the format. Kuldeep led the charge with an outstanding 4/18, while Siraj, Sundar, and Ahmed each contributed two wickets.

During the chase, Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill provided a steady opening. While Dhawan fell early for 8, Gill took control of the crease, scoring quickly and confidently. Ishan Kishan struggled to make an impact with only 10 runs, but Shreyas Iyer, currently in top form, closed out the game with a decisive six.
