On Monday, Sky Sports announced that Dinesh Karthik has been added to their expert commentary panel. Sky Sports on Monday announced the inclusion of Dinesh Karthik in their commentary panel. The broadcasting network has the rights of telecasting the limited over matches between India and England. David Lloyd, Nasser Hussain, Ian Ward, Ebony Rainford-Brent, Michel Atherton, Rob key and Stuart Broad are some names on the panel.

During his international career, Karthik played 94 ODIs and 32 T20Is for the Indian national team, scoring 1,752 and 399 runs in those formats. His last outing in an ODI was against New Zealand in July 2019.

Entering the world of broadcasting is a fresh start for the Tamil Nadu legend. By taking on this role, he joins a select group of Indian cricketers—including Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Robin Uthappa, and Parthiv Patel—who transitioned into commentary while still playing the game.

Because he is currently captaining Tamil Nadu in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Karthik won't be available for the opening matches of the limited-overs series between India and England.

The league stage of the Vijay Hazare Trophy concludes on March 1, and Tamil Nadu finishes their group games on February 28. However, the final is scheduled for March 14; should Tamil Nadu progress to the later stages, Karthik will join the commentary team late. As for the international schedule, India and England will first play five T20Is starting March 12 at Ahmedabad's Sardar Patel Stadium, followed by a three-match ODI series.
