Because Kapoor was away in Bahrain for two months coaching the national team, Ashish Nehra was the primary point of contact for Pandya following his recruitment by the Titans. Kapoor highlighted that Nehra has been guiding Pandya with specific tips to enhance his bowling game.
Although Hardik Pandya wasn't selected for Baroda's Ranji Trophy squad, Kapoor indicated that he is likely to play a few matches around mid-March. The coach explained that the goal was for Pandya to gain some momentum through Ranji Trophy fixtures before arriving at the franchise's IPL training camp.
Kapoor clarified that batting isn't a concern for Pandya; the main priority for the franchise is ensuring his bowling has returned to the level he displayed with Mumbai Indians and the Indian national team.
