Host the IPL match in our country: UAE.

Both the UAE and Sri Lanka have indicated their willingness to host the IPL tournament.

Due to the escalating coronavirus situation in India, the IPL T20 series was first pushed back to April 15, 2020. There was a possibility of moving the games to September or hosting them in another country. Ultimately, the BCCI decided to postpone the matches indefinitely, as the government's curfew and the pandemic's spread made it impossible to proceed. The board emphasized that the well-being of the citizens was far more critical than the cricket schedule.

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board suggested hosting the 2020 IPL, and the UAE made a similar request to the BCCI. Arun Dhumal, the BCCI treasurer, noted the UAE's eagerness to get the season started. BCCI officials explained that they tried to secure bio-secure stadiums locally, but the prevalence of red zones across India made this impossible. Furthermore, global travel bans prevented the tournament from being moved overseas. In the end, the priority shifted entirely toward protecting the health and safety of the players.

With the world at a standstill, it's currently impossible to reach a decision. However, it's worth remembering that the UAE successfully hosted 20 IPL matches back in 2014 during India's general elections.
