IPL 2019 Highlights: KL Rahul's batting onslaught crushes Chennai

Kings XI Punjab closed out their season with a 6-wicket victory against the Chennai Super Kings, powered by a brilliant 71 from KL Rahul. Although Punjab didn't make the playoffs this time, defeating the top-seeded team in their final match allowed them to finish the campaign with their heads held high. This was their sixth win of the tournament, leaving them in sixth place with a total of 12 points.

Punjab faced a target of 171 runs and successfully chased it down, crossing the finish line during KL Rahul's impressive 71-run knock. Rahul dominated the attack with five sixes and seven fours. With additional help from Chris Gayle (28) and Nicholas Pooran (36), Punjab secured the win with two overs left on the clock. Despite Harbhajan Singh taking three wickets for the Super Kings, he couldn't lead his side to victory. Sam Curran also proved to be a significant threat with the ball on this pitch.

Curran was instrumental in taking the first three wickets for Chennai, starting with a breakthrough in the 5th over, followed by success in the 17th and 19th. To cap off the innings, Mohammed Shami applied intense pressure in the final over, sending two CSK batsmen back to the pavilion.
