Lucknow Super Giants secured a thrilling 12-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday. Chasing 170, Sunrisers managed to score 157/9 as LSG pacer Avesh Khan produced a stellar performance to restrict them. The young pacer claimed four crucial wickets to inspire his team to their second win of the season.

The match seemed to be slipping away from LSG, with Sunrisers looking like the likely winners. However, the 18th over proved to be the turning point as Avesh Khan dismantled their momentum by taking the wickets of Nicholas Pooran (34) and Abdul Samad (0).

Starting their innings after losing the toss, LSG faced a rocky start, conceding three wickets within the powerplay. Washington Sundar played a pivotal role in this early collapse, cheaply dismissing both Evin Lewis (1) and Quinton de Kock (1).

The pressure mounted further when Natarajan claimed two wickets in one over, sending Rahul (68) and Krunal Pandya (6) back to the pavilion. Despite the losses, Ayush Badoni's quick 19 runs ensured LSG posted a competitive total of 169/7.

The Sunrisers' pursuit began poorly, losing opener Abishek Sharma (13) and captain Kane Williamson (16) early on. With Aiden Markram also falling for 12, they were struggling at 83/3 by the 11th over. Rahul Tripathi provided some much-needed resistance with a strong knock, but the game took another turn when Pandya got him out for 44.

Nicholas Pooran appeared to be SRH's last real chance at victory, but he was dismissed for 34. To wrap things up, Jason Holder bowled a superb final over, picking up three wickets to guarantee the win for Lucknow.
