Tushar Deshpande successfully defended 29 runs in the final over to seal a thrilling win in front of the Yellow Army.

After being sent in to bat, CSK got off to a flying start as Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway amassed 110 runs within the first 9 overs. Gaikwad played a brilliant knock of 57, including four sixes and three fours, before getting out. Devon Conway also played a key role with 47 runs before being dismissed by Mark Wood. Shivam Dube contributed a brief but useful 27 runs before Ravi Bishnoi took his wicket.

Moeen Ali showed promise early on but was unable to turn his start into a significant total. Ambati Rayudu played a supportive yet aggressive role, finishing with an unbeaten 27. The innings reached a crescendo in the final over when MS Dhoni hit two massive sixes, helping CSK reach a huge total of 217/7. For the opposition, Bishnoi and Wood were the most effective, taking three wickets apiece.

LSG's chase began strongly, with captain KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers raining boundaries to score 79 runs during the powerplay. The tide turned when Moeen Ali dismissed the dangerous Mayers, followed by Mitchell Santner removing Deepak Hooda for just 2. Moeen then dealt a critical blow by getting rid of KL Rahul for 20. Although Nicholas Pooran tried to shift the pressure back with a rapid 32, the CSK bowlers remained composed to secure the win.
