Jay Shah discussed the expected timeline for Shami's return to the game. With the surgery complete and Shami back on home soil, he is expected to rejoin the squad for the September series against Bangladesh, consisting of two Tests and three T20Is. Despite being the most successful bowler in the previous ODI World Cup, Shami actually competed in that tournament while dealing with an injury.
Last month, the 33-year-old underwent surgery on his Achilles tendon, which sidelined him for the five-match Test series against England.
