India clinched a 6-run victory over Australia, powered by Mohammed Shami's clutch performance in the final over

India managed to beat Australia by 6 runs in their opening Brisbane warm-up match, largely due to Mohammed Shami's mastery in the final over. While Australian captain Aaron Finch looked set to guide his team home with a powerful 76, Shami flipped the script in the 20th over by taking three wickets and giving away just 11 runs. A highlight of the fielding was Virat Kohli's incredible one-handed grab to dismiss Pat Cummins, which saved six runs in the process.
Indian pacer Mohammed Shami’s final over brilliance handed India a 6-run win over Australia in the first warm-up match in Brisbane. Chasing 187-runs, Australia skipper Aaron Finch played a blistering knock of 76 and made the chase look easy. But Shami scalped three wickets and defended just 11-runs in the 20th over to clinch victory. Virat Kohli took a one-handed stunner to dismiss Pat Cummins and also saved six runs.

India opened their batting with great intensity, particularly KL Rahul, who smashed a 27-ball fifty before Glenn Maxwell eventually dismissed him for 57. However, the top order showed some cracks when key players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were dismissed cheaply for 15 and 19, respectively.

The middle order then faced a tough spell from Kane Richardson, who took the wickets of Hardik Pandya (2) and Dinesh Karthik (20). Suryakumar Yadav provided a vital contribution, scoring 50 to keep the runs flowing before he too was dismissed by Richardson. The efforts of Rahul and Yadav pushed India to a final score of 186/7 after 20 overs.

Australia's response began with a flurry of boundaries from Finch and Mitchell Marsh, who put the Indian bowlers on the back foot. The tide turned when Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled Marsh for 35. While Steve Smith (11) and Glenn Maxwell (23) tried to maintain the pressure, they were soon removed by Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar. A sharp direct hit from Kohli also ran out Tim David for 5. In the end, Shami's precision with the yorkers secured the wickets needed to hand India a nail-biting win.
