According to CSK’s bowling coach Dwayne Bravo, the team’s steady success is due to minimal external intervention. Undoubtedly, Chennai Super Kings are the pinnacle of consistency in the Indian Premier League (IPL), having made the most playoff appearances and won the title five times.
Bravo recently shared with the press that the beauty of the CSK franchise is that the owners don't micromanage or apply pressure, giving players the space to be themselves. When the conversation turned to the squad, the former all-rounder praised the team's balance and emphasized their desire to keep the momentum going from the previous season.
Bravo noted that they achieved great results last year with a youthful bowling unit. For the current campaign, he's excited about the return of Shardul Thakur, who provides a useful batting option. He also pointed to the quality and experience of Mustafizur Rahman, the raw talent of Pathirana (affectionately dubbed 'baby Malinga'), and the solid form of Tushar Deshpande.
