Virat takes oath before match

Reporting from Thiruvananthapuram: Virat Kohli, leading the Indian national team, joined his players on Monday in a public vow to stay away from illegal drugs. The team had touched down in the city late Sunday night after concluding the second T20 against New Zealand. As they prepare for Tuesday's final showdown in the three-match series, both sides spent Monday relaxing at their hotel rather than hitting the practice nets.Thiruvananthapuram-Indian captain Virat Kohli on Monday took an oath against drugs with his team mates while opposing banned drugs (drugs). In a joint effort to promote a healthy lifestyle, Captain Virat Kohli, his teammates, and Kerala's Chief Minister, Pinarai Vijayan, participated in an anti-drug pledge. The event, themed 'Yes to Cricket, No to Drugs,' took place at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium. Organized by the Kerala Police and the Kerala Cricket Association, the initiative saw thousands of students from across various districts joining the Captain and the Chief Minister in committing to a drug-free life.
