In his speech, the Sports Minister remarked that the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' vision promoted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has helped integrate Manipur more closely with the rest of the country. The competition featured a diverse group of 730 competitors from 19 different delegations. These included various state teams such as Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Jammu and Kashmir, along with groups like Vidya Bharathi and the Indian Public School Conference, all competing until the event's close on November 17.
Chief Minister N. Biren Singh emphasized that the National School Games provide a vital platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and achieve success. He expressed his pride in the fact that 48 athletes from Manipur were competing in the event.
He further noted that the athletes from Manipur had shown incredible resilience, working tirelessly and remaining determined to overcome any challenges they faced during their preparation.
