Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has alerted the Indian team to keep a close eye on three key Australian players as they prepare for the day-night pink-ball Test in Adelaide.
Talking to AFP, Tendulkar pointed out that Australia is much stronger now that Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, and a recovered David Warner are all available for selection.
He remarked that the current Australian roster is far superior to their previous iteration, explaining that the team had previously struggled to fill the void left by missing senior players.
Tendulkar also noted that India's own bowling department has grown stronger, making them fully capable of competing head-to-head with Australia.
When asked if the current bowling lineup is the best India has ever seen, Sachin avoided a direct comparison, stating that different eras of cricket should be viewed independently.
Nevertheless, he believes the current Indian attack is comprehensive. With a mix of swing and variety, he feels the team is well-equipped to handle any type of playing surface.
He wrapped up by mentioning that the squad is perfectly balanced, featuring hit-the-deck specialists alongside both wrist and finger spinners.
