General
- China hit a significant milestone in shooting, earning its 200th gold medal thanks to ZHAO Ruozhu's win in the women’s 10m air rifle.
- YANG Kunpi (TPE) secured gold in the men's trap and tied the world record. This achievement makes him the first athlete at the 2018 Asian Games to either equal or break a world record in any sport.
- Rikako IKEE (JPN) became the first female athlete of the 2018 Games to collect three gold medals, following her wins in the 50m butterfly and 100m freestyle, and her previous victory in the 4x100m relay on Sunday.
- The Republic of Korea reached a historic 700 gold medals in Asian Games history, achieved through JEON Hee Sook's victory in the women’s individual foil.
- North Korea reached two major milestones: OM Yun Chol's gold in the men's 56kg weightlifting was the nation's 100th gold, while JONG Myong Suk's win in women's freestyle wrestling (57kg) marked the country's 400th overall medal.
- At the end of the second day of medal competitions, China leads the standings with 36 medals (15G, 12S, 9B), followed by Japan with 30 (8G, 11S, 11B) and South Korea with 24 (5G, 9S, 10B).
Artistic Gymnastics
- In the Men’s individual all-around, LIN Chaopan (CHN) claimed China's 10th gold in this category. - Shogo NONOMURA (JPN) earned the silver. Cycling Mountain Bike
- In a General highlight, Indonesia swept both the men’s and women’s downhill events. This is the first time Indonesia has won gold in both genders for a single event at one Asian Games, other than in badminton.General: Indonesia won gold in the men’s and women’s downhill events. Equestrian

Fencing

Shooting

- Ray BASSIL (LBN) won bronze in the women's trap, marking Lebanon's fourth shooting medal and its first-ever medal in a women's shooting event. - Fariza ALDANGOROVA (KAZ) secured Kazakhstan's 13th taekwondo medal, though the country is still searching for its first gold in the sport. This mirrors their situation in artistic gymnastics, where they have 14 medals but no gold.
- Laetitia AOUN's bronze medal was Lebanon's third of the current Games, matching their previous best record set in both 2006 and 2010.
Weightlifting

Wrestling
- Vinesh VINESH (IND) secured gold in the women's freestyle 50kg.
