The squad was officially decided during a meeting of the junior selection committee

The junior selection committee of the BCCI met in New Delhi this Tuesday to announce a 15-player Under-19 team. This squad will travel to Bangladesh to compete in the Asia Cup, which begins in Dhaka on September 29th.

Pawan Shah will lead the side as captain, while the team will carry two wicketkeepers, Anuj Rawat and Prabh Simran Singh. A point of interest is the omission of Arjun Tendulkar; despite his previous involvement in the Test series in Sri Lanka, he didn't make the cut this time.

Beyond the Asia Cup, selectors have also put together India-A and India-B teams for a four-nation ODI series in Lucknow starting September 12th. Arjun Tendulkar was not selected for these squads either. The action starts on September 12th, with India-A playing Afghanistan-A and India-B facing Nepal U-19. Two days later, on September 14th, India-A will play Nepal and India-B will take on Afghanistan.

The full Indian U-19 roster for the Asia Cup consists of: Pawan Shah (Captain), Devdutt Padikkal, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Anuj Rawat (WK), Yash Rathod, Ayush Badoni, Nehal Vadhera, Prabh Simran Singh (WK), Siddharth Desai, Harsh Tyagi, Ajay Dev Goud, Yatin Mangwani, Mohit Jangra, Sameer Chaudhary, and Rajesh Mohanty.
