India defeated Zimbabwe by 13 runs in the final ODI to complete a 3-0 series weep. Chasing a target of 290-runs, Sikandar Raza’s lion-hearted effort took Zimbabwe close to a stunning win. But Indian bowlers held their nerves to pull off a thrilling win at Harare Sports Club. Raza played a masterful inning of 115-runs off 95-balls.

India started their batting effort with a solid opening from KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan. The momentum shifted when Brad Evans broke through, dismissing Rahul for 30 and Dhawan for 40, leaving the visitors in a tight spot. However, the game turned back in India's favor as Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan combined for a massive 140-run partnership for the third wicket.

After Kishan fell for a half-century, India continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. Despite this, Shubman Gill played a sensational knock, recording his maiden ODI century with 130 runs. His effort helped India reach 289/8 by the end of their 50 overs, though Brad Evans remained a threat, finishing with five wickets.

Zimbabwe's chase got off to a rocky start when Deepak Chahar dismissed Innocent Kaia LBW early in the third over. The hosts found some stability through Sean Williams (45) and Takudzwanashe Kaitano (13), who put together a 75-run partnership. Nevertheless, India managed to take wickets steadily, keeping the hosts on the defensive.

The game shifted again when Sikandar Raza took charge with an extraordinary performance. He shared a rapid 104-run stand for the eighth wicket with Brad Evans (28), scoring most of the runs in just 79 balls. The tension peaked in the penultimate over when Gill took a stunning catch to dismiss Raza, allowing India to narrowly escape with the win.
