Former cricketer issues a strong warning: Don't expect too many wickets from Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja has consistently improved his game, becoming a true triple threat with his batting, bowling, and exceptional fielding. Despite being a comprehensive asset to the team, former cricketer Akash Chopra suggests that Jadeja may not be a prolific wicket-taker at the upcoming T20 World Cup. Jadeja is already slated for the Asia Cup squad and is a probable selection for the World Cup as well.

Analyzing India's spin options for the T20 World Cup, Chopra described Jadeja as a 'complete package' who is almost certain to start. That said, he believes the all-rounder will find it difficult to consistently take wickets during the event in Australia.

While Yuzvendra Chahal is expected to lead the spin department, Chopra noted that Jadeja follows closely as the second option. However, he cautioned that Jadeja likely won't provide a high volume of wickets, emphasizing that the current data reveals a reality the team cannot ignore.

Chopra pointed out that while Jadeja is undoubtedly a talented player, his recent bowling figures are underwhelming. Over his last seven matches since the previous T20 World Cup, he has claimed only four wickets with an average exceeding 43. Furthermore, an economy rate near 8.5 is concerning for a bowler of his caliber.
