Suryakumar Yadav's brilliance leads India to a 2-1 lead against the West Indies

Chasing 165, Suryakumar Yadav’s blistering knock of 76-runs took India home with an over to spare. Earlier, India suffered an early blow as skipper Rohit Sharma had to be retired hurt due to back spasm.

Starting their innings first, the West Indies got off to a flyer as Brandon King and Kyle Mayers shared a 57-run opening partnership. India finally found a breakthrough when Hardik Pandya cleaned up King for 20. The West Indies' skipper, Nicholas Pooran, added a useful 23 runs to the total.

Kyle Mayers anchored the innings with a stellar 73, helping the West Indies reach a competitive 164/5 in their 20 overs. India's bowling effort was led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar with two wickets, while Pandya and Arshdeep Singh picked up one each. In the second half, Suryakumar and Shreyas Iyer set a fast pace, building a 94-run stand until Iyer was dismissed for 24 by Akeal Hosein. Suryakumar's half-century was a masterclass in innovative batting.

Rishabh Pant and Deepak Hooda (10) remained composed at the crease to steer India toward a comfortable victory, with Pant finishing unbeaten on 33. India will now look to wrap up the series in the fourth T20I scheduled for August 6.
