Their fourth encounter took place on February 29th against Sri Lanka at the Junction Oval in Australia.
After losing the toss, Sri Lanka posted a score of 113 for 9. India chased this down efficiently, beating the Sri Lankan team in 14.4 overs with a final score of 116 for 3. On March 5th, the semi-final against England was cancelled because of torrential rain. However, having won all four of their previous matches, India successfully qualified for the 2020 T20 World Cup final, where they will play against either South Africa or Australia.
Virat Kohli offered his congratulations and best of luck to the women's national team for the upcoming final. Former stars Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman, and Suresh Raina also lauded the team for their perfect 4-0 record. Speaking on the achievement, captain Harmanpreet Kaur explained that the team focused on a comprehensive victory to ensure their qualification, crediting the entire squad for their dedication and effort since day one.
