India showed total superiority over the West Indies with a flawless performance in the Women’s Tri-nation series

In the concluding league match of the tri-nation series, the Indian Women's team asserted their dominance with a comfortable 8-wicket win over the West Indies. A disciplined bowling attack paved the way for a landslide victory at Buffalo Park, marking India's third win in four outings, one of which was a complete whitewash. The batting side made light work of the 95-run target, as Jemmiah Rodrigues and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur stayed until the end, scoring 42 and 32 runs respectively to secure the win.
Indian Women produced a dominant performance to outclass West Indies by 8 wickets in the final league match of the tri-nation series. Another clinical display from the bowlers helped India to register a comprehensive win at Buffalo Park. India has won three of their four games with one white-washed. Chasing a small target of 95, Jemmiah Rodrigues and captain Harmanpreet Kaur controlled the chase and remained unbeaten on 42 and 32 respectively to seal the win.

After deciding to field first, India took immediate control thanks to Deepti Sharma's skill with flight and dip. The off-spinner ripped through the lineup, sending West Indies captain Rashada Williams back for 8 and knocking over Shemaine Campbelle for a duck on her first ball. The pressure continued as left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad trapped Djenaba Joseph (3) lbw, though Hayley Matthews and Shabika Gajnabi managed to steady the ship for a while.

Pooja Vastrakar eventually got the breakthrough by dismissing Matthews, who led the scoring with 34. A late surge from Zaida James, featuring two huge sixes and a vital 21 runs, helped the West Indies reach 94/6 in their 20 overs—a score that reflected their overall struggle against the Indian attack. Deepti Sharma led the charge with figures of 3/11, while Vastrakar claimed two wickets.

India's chase hit a small bump when Smriti Mandhana was dismissed for 5 after being beaten by a dipper from Shamilia Connell. Harleen Deol contributed 13, but the real momentum came from Rodrigues, who played fluently despite the slow pitch, expertly exploiting the width given by the West Indies pacers. Harmanpreet Kaur played her typical aggressive game, partnering with Rodrigues for an unbeaten 54-run stand in just 40 balls to seal the victory. India is now set to face South Africa in the final on Thursday, February 2.
