It is said a group of 15-30 individuals who are coaches and umpires will be attending two workshops during this month.

These AHF workshops are designed to deepen the technical knowledge of coaches and officials, specifically focusing on the nuances of attack and defense. The program will be delivered remotely through Microsoft Teams, with each session spanning three to four hours.

Gyanendro Ningombam, the officiating president of Hockey India, praised the AHF's virtual workshops as a major advantage for the country's technical staff and coaches. He highlighted how the support team has maximized their time to acquire essential expertise. With sports returning to the national stage, Ningombam is optimistic that the performance levels of India's umpires and coaches will improve significantly.

Furthermore, the AHF plans to host an online workshop on November 7 focused on club management and development for all Asian hockey-playing countries. This session will primarily deal with the strategic planning and administration of clubs at both the national and international levels.

The AHF will organize additional online educational workshops for various Asian hockey nations throughout November. To ensure these sessions are properly supervised, Hockey India has appointed a maximum of six individuals to monitor the process.

Earlier on Tuesday, Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju expressed his strong belief that both the men's and women's hockey teams will deliver outstanding performances at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics next year.

In a recent tweet, Rijiju shared his optimism and confidence regarding the Indian hockey teams' prospects in Tokyo, citing their rigorous training and dedication over the past few months. He emphasized that the government and the board are providing world-class facilities and a comprehensive support system to ensure the athletes are fully prepared for the challenge.
